Thinking in the ” Helsinki Guggenheim” is unavoidable remember the preceding buildings which are populary known by their singular form, that was looked for as symbol of a highlyvalued cultural brand. The proposal follows the trend of its predecessors reformulated by incorporate the qualities of its location. The new museum wants to look like the autonomous elements of the port like presences with no hierarchies and of course is very important the phenomenologyc identity; the strong presence of the sea water and their special connotation into an atmosphere of faint light with no contrast and full of reflections. All of these thing, have made to get to the intuition of a building that consists of half a sphere of silky skin that situated on the dock and close to the water, and thanks to its reflections, suggests the image of a sun and of the museum as the place where the Sun sets.
